Usage rights in interview recordings

The desk uses the masters once the invoice is paid in full. Until then a viewing right remains. Consent of the people pictured sits beside that.
Two layers
Copyright in the studio picture and sound: after payment in full Voxlyra grants the agreed use. Personality rights of guests: no publication without consent, even if the invoice is paid.
Consent is the desk's task. We provide a sample form; it does not replace legal advice.
What the studio grants
After 100 percent payment: use of the recording in the agreed medium (broadcast, media library, podcast feed, internal documentation). Social cut-downs only if named in the order. No sublicence to unknown third parties without agreement. See the rights article in the terms.
Personality rights in practice
In Germany, images of people may generally be published only with consent, unless a statutory exception applies. An invited talk audience is not a public assembly in the street-demonstration sense. That is why we collect lists before cameras.
Music in gaps
Interval music is not part of the basic booking. Titles under a collecting society are the desk's to clear. Silence is the default in the conversation room.
Archive and deletion
18-month session archive. Contact-form requests 12 months. Invoices 10 years. Deletion of masters on written instruction after expiry, unless a retention duty blocks it.
Minimum age
16. Under 18 with an accompanying adult. The same applies remotely at the other site.
If payment is still open
Viewing yes, publication no. That protects both sides until the remainder arrives after 14 days B2B or after a consumer payment.

What is still missing after payment
Payment in full grants the agreed use of the studio masters. It does not replace consent of the people pictured. A talk audience in 24 chairs is not an assembly on Schönhauser Allee. Lists before cameras. Social cut-downs only if the order names them. Sublicence to unknown third parties only by agreement. Sample form yes, legal review no.
Interval music defaults to silence. Titles under a collecting society are the desk's to clear. Silence in the conversation room is the cleaner path and skips a clearance that is not inside the EUR 189 incl. VAT hour. Remote guests sign the same paper. Under 18 with an adult, including at the remote site. Minimum age 16.
Archive 18 months for sessions, 12 months for contact requests, 10 years for invoices. Deletion of masters on instruction after expiry unless a duty blocks it. Viewing while payment is open yes; publication no. B2B 14 days. Deposit 40 percent. Cancellation 10 days. Two revision rounds do not change the rights chain, only faults in picture or sound.
Place of jurisdiction for merchants: Berlin. Contract language German. English pages are working aids. Privacy: FormSubmit in the United States for the form, Hetzner in Gunzenhausen for the website, masters in the house. Internal documentation without publication still needs consent once faces are recognisable. Board pieces in the conversation room do not fall out of personality rights just because the door was closed. An invited audience on the show floor signs before cameras. If a second platform is added later, read the first consent before the edit builds new excerpts. Voxlyra does not rewrite a desk's consent text after the fact in the file names. Viewing before payment is internal; a public clip before payment breaks the terms. After payment, guest personality rights remain. If a guest later limits consent, the desk stops that use; the studio deletes on instruction inside the 18-month archive unless a retention duty blocks it. Internal viewing is not a right to pass files to unknown third parties.
