How to prepare a studio interview

Reading time about 4 minutes

A conversation at Lychener Straße 54 sits when rundown, consent and wardrobe exist before the first mark. This guide belongs to interview recording.

Boom-microphone sound check with a standing guest in the Berlin studio

Three days before

Send name lists with pronunciation, the intended length and whether picture will run. The studio replies within two working days. The 40 percent deposit holds the slot.

Check travel: U2 Eberswalder Straße, about six minutes. Trams M1, M10, 12. Parking on Lychener Straße is for residents.

Consent before the lens

Everyone on camera needs consent for recording and the intended use. Social cut-downs belong only if named. Details sit in the usage-rights guide and the terms.

Guests under 18 arrive with an accompanying adult. Minimum age 16.

Wardrobe and inserts

Calm surfaces in charcoal, rust, cream. Tiny chest lettering becomes readable and distracts. We provide water; bottles without brand lettering are fine.

Inserts without baked-in channel logos if the material will also run outside your own channel.

On the day

Thirty minutes of buffer before cameras. The level pass is short. Takes, not an endless roll. After the last take, a control viewing.

Lateness eats the booked hour. Extension only if the next slot is free, at EUR 189 incl. VAT.

What the crew needs

Lena Hoffmann the rundown, Jonas Richter the track layout, Mira Schulz the eyelines. Niklas Berger meets guests at the door. Open questions before the first take, not between them.

Checklist

Print the list or keep it digital. We do not run a newsroom secretariat.

  • Rundown with times
  • Name spellings
  • Consents
  • Wardrobe without readable marks
  • U2 Eberswalder Straße planned
  • Accompanying adult under 18

After the session

Stereo sum often that evening, takes in 48 hours. Two revision rounds for session faults. Archive 18 months. Rights after payment in full.

A Berlin note

The house sits in a residential neighbourhood. We do not blast trailer music in the stairwell. Interval music in the recording is a separate collecting-society topic.

Service: interview recording. Booking: contact. Rights: usage rights.

Why preparation in Prenzlauer Berg has to be concrete

Lychener Straße 54 sits in the Helmholtz neighbourhood. If you do not know the area, plan U2 Eberswalder Straße, not a parking space at the door. Resident parking is the rule. Six minutes on foot is realistic, ten if someone arrives with a suitcase and scenery. Scenery without readable marks is possible; we do not build a channel set. The conversation room is 42 square metres, not a hall. Eight people on camera is the cap. As soon as an audience is added, the format moves to the show floor and this guide is no longer enough — then the talk-show budget text applies.

The 40 percent deposit holds the slot, not the wardrobe. The desk holds the wardrobe: calm surfaces, no tiny chest logos that become readable in 4K. Consents before the lens; social cut-downs only if named. Guests under 18 with an accompanying adult, minimum age 16. Remote guests are a different service. We provide water. Food beyond the table no. Makeup no. Own recorders yes if the table stays clear.

On the day: thirty minutes of buffer, short level pass, takes not an endless roll, control viewing, 48 hours for takes, two revision rounds for session faults, archive 18 months, rights after payment in full. Lateness eats the hour at EUR 189 incl. VAT. Extension only if the next slot is free. Last questions answered within two working days at hello@voxlyra.click or +49 30 44721980 during studio hours Monday to Friday 09:00–19:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00, Europe/Berlin.

What we do not replace: legal review of consent, collecting-society clearance of interval music, a newsroom secretariat. What we do replace: uncertainty about marks on the parquet, eyelines and track layout. Lena Hoffmann takes the rundown, Jonas Richter the levels, Mira Schulz the cameras, Niklas Berger the door. Open questions before the first take.
