Editing and post-production
An hour of editing and mix costs EUR 125 including 19% VAT. Two revision rounds sit in the price. A 24–28 minute show edit is EUR 1280 incl.
Post at Voxlyra means material from this house or clearly named external files in the same formats. We cut interviews, podcast video and talk rounds, mix speech, set supers and — if booked — captions per film minute. The work sits in the control lounge, not on an anonymous network.
Desks that only take takes and cut themselves do not need this service. Desks that want a transmittable length do. The formats guide describes containers and timecode before the first sequence opens.
Four steps in the edit
Assembly
Length, order, removing pauses. On talk shows the switcher cut is a starting point, not a dogma.
Mix and supers
Speech above atmosphere. Names, roles, Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg as a location only if wanted.
Revision and delivery
Two rounds in writing. Then a master and an archive copy for 18 months.
Who the edit is for
Desks without an editor on the production day, podcast teams delivering video later, houses that need a 24–28 minute version for a media library. We do not cut advertising packaging or unrelated series unless the files match WAV/ProRes and the rights chain is clear in writing.
Captions cost EUR 18 incl. VAT per film minute, German or English. Automatic speech recognition without correction is not offered.
How we work
One desk contact collects notes. Parallel comments from five channels stretch the rounds. The two rounds count as two bundled replies, not two single sentences.
Colour: restrained, matching the oxblood and parchment rooms. No neon, no third-party channel preset.
What the desk delivers
If the material is not from Voxlyra: originals, not only a link in an expiring packet, plus a list of personality rights. Consents that only cover the session do not cover social cut-downs unless the consent says so — see the usage-rights guide.
Music: only titles the desk can licence, named in writing. Voxlyra does not fetch collecting-society repertoire.
Deadlines, VAT, rights
Short form 4–8 minutes EUR 480 incl. VAT (EUR 403.36 net), often three to five working days after review. Show edit 24–28 minutes EUR 1280 incl. (EUR 1075.63 net), often eight to twelve working days, depending on take volume. Hourly EUR 125 incl. (EUR 105.04 net) for work after the two rounds.
Usage rights in the finished master transfer with payment in full. Raw material stays 18 months in the archive if it was made here.

What is not included

Do you edit at the weekend?
Saturday 10:00–16:00 only by appointment. Sunday closed.
Can we sit in during the mix?
Yes, one seat. More people disturb the mix; then written rounds are better.
What happens after two rounds?
Further work runs at EUR 125 incl. VAT per hour.
Do you deliver square for social?
As a separate short booking yes. The show edit stays 16:9 unless agreed otherwise.
Where do the files live?
On the studio machines and the archive drive in the house. Hetzner hosts the public website, not the masters.
